Non-Surgical Solutions at Icon Spa

Venus Medical Beauty, one of Dublin’s leading cosmetic medical clinics, is now offering the opportunity to avail of its treatments throughout Ireland.  Castledargan’s own Icon Spa will be hosting a clinic offering a wide range of non-surgical and minimally invasive treatments, all performed by a qualified cosmetic doctor with experience throughout the world.  For those for whom the physician’s office is a source of discontent, the luxurious and relaxing spa atmosphere could be just what the doctor ordered. 

Among those treatments on offer are anti-aging veterans like chemodenervation and dermal fillers to tame crow’s feet and smooth smoker’s lines.  Also on the list is a new industry favorite, Sculptra, an injectable dermal filler designed to smooth out lines and wrinkles and augment the soft tissues of the face.  As the skin ages, facial volume can be lost, making us appear gaunt.  Sculptra helps to restore the skin’s youthful appearance by filling in the wrinkles, dark circles, and sagging skin.  Lip enhancement is also available, injecting dermal fillers into the lips to subtly define lip borders and plump the lips for a natural look.

The procedure involves a series of injections of a substance called phosphatidylcholine, a lipid derived from soybeans and found naturally in the body that breaks down fat.   The fat is slowly melted away from problem areas leaving a smoother, more shapely silhouette. A course of treatments is usually between two and four to achieve optimum results.
